Join CU-EWB
We're excited you're interested in joining CU-EWB!
CU-EWB is home to two active projects: a Preschool Design & Construction project and a Rural Electrification project. Through these, our members develop real-world engineering, sustainability, and project management skills—all while making a tangible impact. Check out our Projects page to learn more about the projects we’re working on.
CU-EWB is open to all Columbia and Barnard undergraduate and graduate students, regardless of major or experience level. You can join one or both projects—and we actually encourage new members to explore them all during their first semester!
There’s no application required to join. Just follow the steps below to get started:
How to Join CU-EWB
1. Subscribe to our Newsletter
This is the best way to stay up to date on meeting times, events, and opportunities.
2. Attend our Annual Fall Bootcamp
This year's Bootcamp will be held in Lerner Satow room on Saturday, September 13th 2025. The exact time will be communicated on our Instagram page (@cuewb).
The Bootcamp gives you a hands-on intro to our projects, schedules, and club culture. It’s also where you’ll get access to the CU-EWB Membership Form, which officially enrolls you as a member (the membership form is not an application). Can’t make it? No worries—we’ll email all the key information that was shared at the Bootcamp afterwards.
3. Join our Slack
Slack is where we communicate day-to-day, especially within specific project teams. Once you're in, you’ll be able to connect with other members, get project updates, and start contributing to our projects.
